9月11日夜、在日タンザニア大使ムタンゴ閣下のご厚意により、ミレニアム・プロミス・ジャパン関係者（会員）を公邸にお招きいただき、特別研究会＆交流会が開催されました。2000年にご着任以来、アフリカ各国大使の中で最も長く日本にご滞在なさっている大使より、「タンザニアの現状と日本への期待」をテーマにお 話を伺いました。

多くのカラースライドを駆使して、初心者にも非常にわかりやすく熱心にご説明くださる大使のご人格にも惹かれ、出席者は一様に「タンザニアに行きたい！」とタンザニア・ファンになりました。
佐藤啓太郎・アフリカ紛争・難民問題担当大使、国連改革大使をはじめ、山田耕平氏、鍛冶真起氏（「数独」のNIKOLI社長）らもご参加くださり、和やかな雰囲気の中に非常に有意義な時を過ごすことができました。
ご講演のあとには、タンザニア料理をご用意いただき、生まれて初めていただいたお料理に、あちらこちらから「おいしい！」という感嘆の声が聞かれました。

On 11th September, all members of MPJ were kindly invited to Tanzania Embassy by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr.E.E.E.Mtango and we could have a special seminar and a party at there in the evening. We listened to the ambassador’s speech of which theme was “Present Tanzanian status and expectation for Japan”. Mr. MTango has worked as the ambassador since 2000. This means he has worked in Japan for the longest days among African ambassadors.
The ambassador showed us many lantern slides of Tanzania and lectured about the culture. This was very easy to understand about the country and we all were strongly charmed with his personality. In result, many attendants became Tanzanian fan and now wish to visit Tanzania.
Keitaro Sato who is Ambassador in Charge of Peace Building in Africa,Ambassador, Special Envoy for UN Reform,Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Kohei Yamada, and Maki Kazi who is the president of Sudoku’s NIKOLI also joined the reception. We really enjoyed the gentle opportunity and could spend very worthy time.
After the seminar, we were served wonderful Tanzanian meals and really enjoyed the excellent dinner. Indeed, nobody could stand to say “Delicious!”, “Yummy!”, or “Splendid!”
